Natural Treatments to Reduce Haemorrhoid Symptoms

If you are one of the people who suffer from painful haemorrhoids, but don’t like using chemicals when you can prevent it, there are many natural remedies for haemorrhoids. Most of the remedies help to reduce symptoms like pain and itching. Once you have applied the coconut oil, rinse it off after a few moments and then reapply it. The symptoms will subside and in a few days, the haemorrhoids should disappear.

Witch Hazel

This is the oldest known natural treatment for haemorrhoids. This astringent is made from the bark and leaves of the fragrant witch hazel plant. Dab a cotton ball into the witch hazel and apply it directly to the haemorrhoids. You should be able to find witch hazel, along with witch hazel pads, in most pharmacies.

Aloe Vera

This plant is used for many treatments and it can be used for haemorrhoids as well. Apply some directly onto your haemorrhoids to help relieve your symptoms.

A Sitz Bath

Many pharmacies carry sitz baths, so you should be able to easily find one. It is a basin that fits over the toilet and you fill it with warm water. Then you sit in it to help soak your rectal area to help reduce the pain of haemorrhoids. Repeat several times a day to relieve your symptoms. Sitz baths are great for pregnant women who have haemorrhoids so they don’t have to get in and out of the tub several times a day.

Using these natural remedies can help to greatly reduce the pain and itching of haemorrhoids and most of these treatments are very inexpensive. If you continue to have problems, consult your doctor to find out if you need a stronger treatment or surgical intervention. There are many simple procedures that can be done to help get rid of haemorrhoids.
